National identity is important to most of us. But what that identity consists of, and how strongly we feel about it, is far less uniform. 

Across countries, there is rarely one single source of pride that unifies its people. The source of pride also differs by country: While the Dutch value their freedom, Spaniards are proud of their people and British people are proud of…hold on, a lot of them actually said they were NOT proud of their country.
